I am committed to ensuring that martinvassilev.art is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. My aim is to provide a smooth, usable experience for all visitors by following recognized accessibility standards and best practices.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

The target standard for this website is WCAG 2.2, level AA. Many parts of the site conform to these guidelines; however, some content may not yet be fully compliant. I am actively working toward full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site 

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Measures taken to support accessibility

  • Semantic HTML with meaningful headings, lists, and landmarks.

  • Text alternatives for non-decorative images; decorative images use empty alt attributes.

  • Keyboard-navigable menus and controls with visible focus styles.

  • Color choices that meet recommended contrast ratios where possible.

  • Form controls with associated labels and helpful error messaging.

  • Reduced motion preferences respected where animations exist.

  • Logical reading and tab order across pages and components.

  • Testing with assistive technologies and automated tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse).

Known limitations

Some pages may include third-party embeds or widgets (e.g., social media, video players, or platform components from the site builder). While I aim to select accessible solutions, elements outside my direct control may not fully meet WCAG criteria. Technical compatibility
